Sleeping Bear Dunes
Michigan’s crown jewel — a 71,000-acre National Lakeshore with massive sand dunes, crystal-clear lakes, and miles of Lake Michigan shoreline. Hike the Dune Climb, kayak the Platte River, or simply watch the sunset from the top of the dunes. About 45 minutes from the cabin.
Leelanau Wineries
Leelanau Peninsula is home to 25+ wineries producing award-winning Rieslings, Pinot Gris, and Cab Francs. Stop at Black Star Farms, Shady Lane Cellars, or Bel Lago on a leisurely drive along M-22. Many offer tasting rooms and stunning vineyard views over Lake Michigan.
Harbor Towns
The Leelanau Peninsula is dotted with charming harbor towns worth exploring. Suttons Bay has galleries and waterfront dining. Northport has a lighthouse and local shops. Glen Arbor sits right at the doorstep of Sleeping Bear. Each town is unique and easy to reach for a half-day trip.
